Site development began in year 2000 in the area of 332-4 Sucheong-dong, Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do, and it opened in May 2006.
The area where the arboretum was created is Sucheong-dong, a place where clear water has flowed since ancient times, on a 100,000 pyeong site, the wetland ecological garden is related to water-loving plants, such as botanical gardens and hygroscopic botanical gardens.
It is composed of 19 various theme gardens and 1,930 species of plants, including Korea's pine tree garden, maple tree garden, fruit tree garden, and the Central Region Wildlife Garden.
